What Insurance Do Conferences and Seminars Need?

With the potential for a large number of people to be attending, the risk for injuries occurring is increased. That’s why we can help you with building the correct Conference and Seminar Insurance policy for you.

Public Liability

If an attendee or other third-party were to get injured because of the actions taken by the conference organiser, they could take legal action. Having Public Liability means that in this situation, the costs that come with defending the organiser and any subsequent settlement is handled by your insurance policy.

Equipment Cover

We can add cover to any Conference and Seminar Insurance policy to protect the equipment owned by the organisers against loss, damage and theft. We can provide up to £50,000 worth of cover on every policy, with a limit of £2,500 on each individual item. Cover is also available for equipment left overnight.

Employers' Liability

As well as the speakers, it is likely that you will employ members of staff. In this case, having Employers’ Liability is a necessity, providing you with protection should a staff member be injured and claim negligence on your part.

Optional Event Cancellation

If you are hosting an event, having appropriate cancellation cover can protect you if it becomes necessary to cancel or rearrange your event. This applies to policies bought no later than 14 days prior to the event.

I was really pleased with how my claim was settled. It gave me great confidence that Protectivity covers me when the worst happens.

Experienced claims handlers

With the likelihood of a large number of attendees it’s an unfortunate fact that accidents do happen.

That’s why we like to ensure that when you do have to make a claim, the process is as straightforward as possible.

Thankfully, the Protectivity customers that have had to make a claim have been extremely pleased at the way that we have handled their troubling situation.
