Equipment Cover

In the event that you break or lose your equipment, up to £3,000 of cover can be incorporated into your policy to subsidise the cost of replacing the unusable items.

Professional Indemnity

Professional Indemnity Insurance for counsellors is also included as standard, meaning you will be protected for the advice that you give in a professional capacity should a client sue.

Employers' Liability

If you employ any members of staff it is your legal responsibility to take out Employers’ Liability. This will cover you for £10 million should a staff member sustain bodily injury, illness, disease or medically recognised psychiatric injury whilst working under your employment.

Personal Accident

Accidents at work can cause financial hardship, so by taking out our additional Personal Accident cover, you’re protected if an injury meant you were unable to work for a significant period of time. This includes loss of income as well as a range of other injuries.

Legal Expenses

This optional benefit provides you access to a legal helpline and a counselling service in addition to legal defence costs. The cover can be upgraded further to include employment disputes, property disputes, health and safety disputes and more.

How much does Counselling Insurance cost?

Our insurance for counsellors starts from £3.14 a month. The policy can be paid annually, whichever works best for you.

Why do counsellors need insurance?

As a counsellor it is important that you have an insurance policy in place. The policy will provide you with Public Liability cover in the event of a client getting injured or their property damaged. As a counsellor you may also need professional indemnity cover if a client pursues legal charges against yourself for providing negligent advice.
