Specialist Fete Insurance with Public Liability

Our policy is designed to offer comprehensive protection for your fete. With our cover in place, you can conduct your fete with peace of mind that if something should go wrong you will be covered. We can even cover multiple events on the same policy.

Whether you are planning an annual village event or a school fundraiser, a last-minute issue with the venue or cancellation from the entertainment may threaten its success.

Our cover includes Public Liability, protecting you if you are sued by a third party for injury or for damage to a third party’s property. Such examples could be a visitor tripping over a gazebo guide rope or if a council-owned venue is damaged.

You can purchase your policy online in a matter of minutes by completing our quick quote form below. Alternatively, you can call one of our UK based team on 01494 887909.

What will your Fete Insurance Cover?

When organising a fete, there are four sections of insurance you should be most aware of. Public Liability comes as standard on our Event Insurance policy, but each of the remaining three benefits can be removed or altered to suit your needs.

Public Liability

If a member of the public or other third party was injured at your fete or suffered property damage, they could take legal action. Public Liability provides you with cover for the costs associated with defending you as an event organiser as well as any settlement.

Employers' Liability

If you have any volunteers or paid staff at your fete (unless they are sub-contractors with their own Public Liability insurance), Employers’ Liability is a legal requirement. This covers you if a staff member was injured and blamed you as the event organiser.

Event Equipment Cover &
Money Cover

We can provide cover for your equipment, including tables at fetes, to sound equipment at concerts. We can also include cover for money at your event and whilst its in transit from the venue and a bank.

Optional Event Cancellation Insurance

If you are hosting an event, having appropriate cancellation cover can protect you if it becomes necessary to cancel or rearrange your event. This applies to policies bought no later than 14 days prior to the event.

Protectivity dealt with everything, even communicating with the other party which was just what I needed!

However well-organised your fete is, problems can, and do, occur. If things go awry at your event we’re committed to dealing with it in the best way for you. The vast majority of our customers who have unfortunately had to claim have been delighted with the manner in which we handled their situation.
