What Insurance Do Festivals Need?

Regardless on the type of festival you will be running there are a number of things you need to consider when buying your one-off event insurance.

Public Liability

Whether it’s a member of the public tripping over some wiring or falling ill after eating the food you serve up, Public Liability offers vital protection. Should your festival be blamed for injury, illness or property damage by an attendee or member of the public, your insurance will handle legal costs and any subsequent settlement.

Employers' Liability

It’s likely that you will employ staff at your festival, from security teams, to merchandise sellers to general helpers. It’s a legal responsibility that you ensure they are covered under Employers’ Liability in the event they are injured at the event.

Cancellation Cover

With many festivals taking place in the notoriously untrustworthy British summertime we can include adverse weather protection in the cancellation section of your policy. Another benefit is the option to include ‘Key Person’ cover protecting you if an integral speaker, artist or attendee lets you down.

Equipment Cover

By adding Equipment Cover on to your policy you can ensure that you are protected should any of the equipment you rely on to deliver your festival to the best effect is covered against loss, damage and theft. We can provide up to £50,000 worth of cover for this.

I was really pleased with how my claim was settled. It gave me great confidence that Protectivity covers me when the worst happens.

Fantastic claims handling

With the likelihood of a large number of attendees it’s an unfortunate fact that accidents do happen.

That’s why we like to ensure that when you do have to make a claim, the process is as straightforward as possible.

Thankfully, the Protectivity customers that have had to make a claim have been extremely pleased at the way that we have handled their troubling situation.
