Public Liability provides protection against legal liability for accidental injury to any person (other than an employee) or damage to their property because of the actions of your business.
Professional Indemnity will cover you in the event that you are sued for negligent advice, such as post-treatment care, given to your clients. Our policy also offers optional protection for your equipment, up to the value of £3,000.

What does your Reiki Insurance policy cover?
Our Insurance policies offer the following benefits, some which are optional:
Public Liability
Between £1 million and £5 million worth of cover for injury or damage to third parties or their property. If you are sued for your negligence your defence costs and any associated settlement would be taken care of.
Equipment Cover
Provides cover for equipment that you specifically use to carrying out the treatments for which you are insured. If this equipment was damaged or was lost during the period of cover, the insurer will cover the cost of repair or replacement of that item, up to the limit shown in the schedule.
Professional Indemnity
Professional Indemnity includes protection against claims arising from not only what you do but also the advice you give. This protection means legal costs are covered if someone decided to sue you due to your negligence.
Employers' Liability
If you employ any members of staff it is your legal responsibility to take out Employers’ Liability. This will cover you for £10 million should a staff member sustain bodily injury, illness, disease or medically recognised psychiatric injury whilst working under your employment.
Personal Accident
Accidents at work can cause financial hardship, so by taking out our additional Personal Accident cover, you’re protected if an injury meant you were unable to work for a significant period of time. This includes loss of income as well as a range of other injuries.
Legal Expenses
This optional benefit provides you access to a legal helpline and a counselling service in addition to legal defence costs. The cover can be upgraded further to include employment disputes, property disputes, health and safety disputes and more.

Q. Who underwrites your insurance?
A. Our Therapist Insurance policy is underwritten by Peach Pi.
Q. Do you cover students?
A. No, our Therapist Insurance policy will only protect those who qualified in their chosen treatments. The qualification must be obtained by an accredited awarding body.
Q. Do you need to see my qualification certificates?
A. No. You will only need to produce your qualification certificate(s) in the event of a claim. When you purchase your insurance we will ask you to declare that you have a suitable qualification for the activity that you require cover for.
Q. Do you need to see my licence to operate?
A. No. While some therapy treatments will require you to obtain a licence from your local council, we do not require you to show us proof of this. If you’re not sure whether you need a licence to practice your chosen therapy, visit the Gov.UK website.
