What Insurance Do Exhibitions and Trade Shows Need?

With any event organiser, there are a number of insurance considerations to be had before your exhibition or trade show.

Public Liability

If an attendee of your event was to get injured due to the negligence of the organisers, there’s a chance they could take legal action. With Public Liability in place, we will take care of the costs associated with defending the event as well as any subsequent financial settlement.

Equipment Cover

You are likely to be using a wide range of equipment in the hosting of your exhibition, regardless of your size. We can add up to £50,000 worth of cover to any policy, covering you for theft, loss or damage to the equipment you use to deliver your event.

Employers' Liability

It’s possible that you will employ members of staff, both paid and voluntary to help deliver your event.  In this case, having Employers’ Liability is a necessity, providing you with protection should an employee be injured and claim negligence on your part.

Optional Cancellation Cover

If you are hosting an event, having appropriate cancellation cover can protect you if it becomes necessary to cancel or rearrange your event. This applies to policies bought no later than 14 days prior to the event.

I was really pleased with how my claim was settled. It gave me great confidence that Protectivity covers me when the worst happens.

Experienced claims handlers

With the likelihood of a large number of attendees it’s an unfortunate fact that accidents do happen.

That’s why we like to ensure that when you do have to make a claim, the process is as straightforward as possible.

Thankfully, the Protectivity customers that have had to make a claim have been extremely pleased at the way that we have handled their troubling situation.
