Our Sports Travel Insurance policies include the following benefits as standard:
Cancellation Cover
If you are unable to go on your pre-booked triathlon holiday due to an injury or illness to you or a close relative, you could be eligible to claim up to £5,000 for the irretrievable costs from booking your trip.
Sports Equipment Cover
Whether you are taking your bike abroad or not, it’s likely you will be bringing specific sporting items away with you. We can provide up to £5,600 cover against loss, damage and theft for these items.
Emergency Medical Expenses
Injuries sustained in ironman events are more common than you may think. Throw in the fact that treatment abroad can also be very expensive, you’ll be glad of our £10 million emergency medical fees cover.
Activity and Race Entry Fees
If you suffer an injury prior to your race of choice which means you are unable to take part, your policy will cover you for some of the race entry fees that you may be unable to get back by other means.
Travel Delay Cover
Flight delays can take a big chunk out of your preparation time ahead of a big event. On our policy we provide cover for the time you are left on the ground due to industrial action, mechanical failure or adverse weather.
Personal Accident
We will pay the sum shown below if during your trip you sustain an injury which results in death or permanent disablement.
