What does our policy for Pet Microchipping include?
As standard we can provide the following things when it comes to our microchipping policy:
Cover for your legal costs should you be sued for damage to a third party’s property of for accidental injury caused to a member of the public. If you were sued, we’d take care of the solicitors fees and the costs surrounding defending your business in court, as well as handling any settlement.
Should an animal be injured whilst in your care, it is possible that you could be blamed for it. In this situation, our care, custody and control cover means that any vet bills that you may incur are taken care of by your policy.
Even when accidents occur that aren’t your fault, it can be a worrying situation to be in. Thankfully, our policy covers the vet bills even were injuries incurred to the animals in your care are not your fault.
Although it’s unlikely, you may find yourself in possession of a client’s keys. Should you lose those keys, you’re covered under our policy for the costs of a replacement set, replacing the locks to the property if required and any resetting of a alarm system that has been set off.
It’s probable that you will be using some items of equipment that would be expensive to replace. That’s why, under our Pet Microchipping Insurance policy we give all of our customers £250 worth of equipment cover as standard. Should you wish to increase that level, we can do that for you in your bespoke quote.

How it works
When you take out your Pet Microchipping Insurance policy you’ll be protected should a claim arise following injury to a member of the public, a pet owner or an animal in your care, and you’ll also be covered for damage caused to others property.
We’ll handle solicitors, cover your defence costs and should you be found negligent, handle the settlement of the claim. Our policies are valid for businesses operating within the United Kingdom. Should you need cover for activities outside of the UK please call us to discuss your requirements.
We find that many businesses operating within the pet care industry have more than one string to their bow. Our Pet Microchipping Insurance is an all encompassing policy that covers the business activities of an individual, partnership or limited company. So whether you’re dog walking, dog grooming or home boarding, you’ll be safe in the knowledge that you’re covered for your pet business activities.
