Public liability Insurance will cover compensation payments and legal costs if a member of the public  sues you as the organiser because they’ve been injured, or their property has been damaged during the party.

What insurance do you need for your Street Party?

When organising a Platinum Jubilee Street Party Insurance it’s important to understand exactly what insurance cover you need. These are the four things you need to consider:

Public Liability

If you are closing a street or hiring a venue to hold your party, be it privately owned or run by your Local Authority, it is likely that you will be required to have Public Liability Insurance. This will protect the organiser if a member of the public takes legal action because they get injured or their property is damaged during the party.

Employers' Liability

To help with the smooth running of your party you may employ some members of staff. In such a scenario you are required to take out Employers’ Liability with your policy. This will cover you if a staff member were to be injured or their property is damaged and hold you responsible.

Event Equipment Cover

It is possible that you will be using some kind of equipment at your party, you can add protection to cover the items from damage or theft. This includes cover for items owned by you as well as hired or leased equipment.

Event Cancellation

Our Event Cancellation is designed to cover you should you be forced to cancel or rearrange your event due to Adverse Weather.
