What insurance does a Stallholder need?

Most stallholders will require Public Liability Insurance to cover the legal costs incurred should a claim be made by a third party (e.g. member of the public) for injury to them or damage to their property.

Our policy includes public liability as standard, with cover limits ranging from £1 million to £10 million. We can also provide Employers’ Liability should you employ any staff, including unpaid volunteers and helpers. Events equipment and event money cover, as well as optional event cancellation cover.

You can purchase our Stallholder Insurance for a single event that lasts up to 14 consecutive days. Should you want to include additional protection, you can add Event Cancellation Cover, up to 14 days prior to your event that can protect you for a variety of circumstances if the event can no longer take place.

What can be included in your Stallholder Insurance policy?

We know that not every stallholder will have the same requirements. Whether you need Craft Fair Insurance or straightforward Stallholder Insurance, you can build a policy to suit your needs. Here is what you can include in our Stallholder Insurance policy.

Public Liability

Public Liability covers you should you be sued by a third party (e.g. member of the public) for injury to them or damage to their property, up to the limit you have selected. Public Liability will provide cover for the legal costs associated with defending you in court plus any damages that are deemed payable.

Employers' Liability

If you employ any staff or have a voluntary helper, Employers’ Liability is a legal requirement. This covers you for damages if a staff member suffered accidental injury or property damage whilst working on your stall.

Event Equipment Cover &
Money Cover

We can provide cover for your equipment, including tables at fetes, to sound equipment at concerts. We can also include cover for money at your event and whilst its in transit from the venue and a bank.

Optional Event Cancellation Insurance

If you are hosting an event, having appropriate cancellation cover can protect you if it becomes necessary to cancel or rearrange your event. This applies to policies bought no later than 14 days prior to the event.

I was impressed how fast and efficiently my claim was handled. It was clear how to make my claim and the process was straightforward. Overall, very pleased.
