What is classed as a 'Hazardous Activity?'
Understanding our Event Insurance policy
While we strive to cover as many different activities and occasions under our Event Insurance policy, there are some things that we are unable to include.
We class these as ‘Hazardous Activities’ and exclude them from our policy. If your event features any of these activities, but you hold a separate insurance policy for them, we can still provide cover for the other aspects for your event.
Please ensure that if this is the case, you obtain a copy of the insurance and provide it to us if we request it.
The following are classed as ‘Hazardous Activities’ under our policy:
- Firework and bonfire displays (Unless a TP has been contracted with their own insurance)
- Inflatable play equipment
- Lanterns
- Downhill skateboarding/ skating
- Fairground rides or mechanical or electrical rides
- Quad bikes, go-karts or motor sports of any kind
- Trampolining and gymnastics
- Circus acts or stunt acts
- Nightclub events (Unless a private party not open to the public)
- Professional sporting events
- Persons riding on animals
- Stag / hen parties
- Shooting ranges for guns or archery
- Pyrotechnical devices, including stunt or prop items
- Obstacle courses
- Open water activities
