Specialist insurance for extreme sports

‘Extreme Sports’ refers collectively to high adrenaline or dangerous sports. We provide extreme sports insurance for a number of sports considered to be of above-average and high risk, such as paragliding, skydiving and mountaineering.

If you are skydiving in New Zealand, paragliding in France or heading anywhere else overseas, our Sports Travel Insurance is for you. The policy acts like a normal travel insurance, covering things such as flight delays, cancellation and lost baggage. However, it also includes cover for the sport you are doing – some of which are excluded by standard policies.

Our Sports Accident Insurance policy is designed for those taking part in extreme sports in their home country. The policy includes cover for serious injuries, as well as Public Liability. This policy can be taken out on an annual basis or for a single use, just select the relevant option during the quote process.

How it works

As a sports insurance specialist, we understand the risks associated with participating in sport at home or abroad. We have therefore developed two extreme sports insurance products that covers you wherever you are in the world.

Choose our Sports Travel Insurance and you will be covered for standard travel benefits such as flight delays and cancellations, but also includes cover for the sports you are doing.

Emergency repatriation and medical expenses cover up to £10 million is included on all travel policies. With a 24 hour assistance line, you are in the best hands when taking part in any extreme sport overseas.

If you are staying in your country of residence for your sport, our Sports Accident Insurance will cover you for serious injuries you may suffer. Physiotherapy and dental fee cover is included as standard, as is Personal Accident cover. This benefit will pay out a lump sum should you suffer a serious injury whilst taking part in your sport.

Income Protection is an addition add-on that safeguards a percentage of your income if you are deemed unfit for work due to a sporting injury. You can add this protection during the quote process.
