What does Mediation Insurance cover?
Your role as a mediator is to resolve disputes and help both sides come to an agreement. However, being the messenger puts you in the line of fire and your clients could easily accuse you of giving them bad advice or claim they have suffered a financial loss.
Our Mediation Insurance can help protect you against claims of negligence arising from your work. In the event when you provide advice or a professional service to your clients, you may need Professional Indemnity cover.
You can also take out insurance against claims for injury and/or damage with our Public Liability cover. Then the policy pays to defend you and, if you have made a mistake, compensates the person claiming against you too.
With so many features and benefits included in our customised insurance packages, you can have the peace of mind that you are covered and simply focus on your work. To get a quote you need to complete the short quote form on this page.

What's included in your Mediation Insurance policy?
Our policy provides the following benefits, some of which are optional:
Professional Indemnity includes protection against claims arising from not only what you do but also the advice you give. This protection means legal costs are covered if someone decided to sue you due to your negligence.
You can choose £1 million, £2 million or £5 million worth of Public Liability to cover your legal expenses or compensation claims if a client or member of the public suffers an injury or property damage due to your business.
In the event that you break or lose your trading equipment, up to £3,000 of cover can be incorporated into your policy to subsidise the cost of replacing the unusable items. Simply select the level of protection and it will be added to your policy.
If you employ any member of staff, Employers’ Liability is a legal requirement. With this in place you are covered if any employee suffered physical injury or death as a result of the employer’s negligence. If that staff member sought compensation, the insurer would handle the cost of the claim.
I was really pleased with how my claim was settled. It gave me great confidence that Protectivity covers me when the worst happens.
