Trusted by thousands...

Our reviews speak for themselves, with highly rated feedback from over 3,000 customers.¹

What does reflexology insurance cover?

Our insurance for reflexologists is designed to protect qualified professionals and businesses providing reflexology treatments.

Cover can be tailored to suit self-employed reflexologists, mobile practitioners, therapists renting space within a salon or wellness centre, and dedicated reflexology studios or multi-therapy salon businesses.

Public liability and professional treatment cover are included as standard, giving you reassurance that you’re protected if a claim arises during or after a session.

Optional extensions allow you to broaden your cover to include equipment, employers’ liability and personal accident protection.

If you own or lease your own reflexology studio, you can also choose to insure your business premises, including liability cover, contents protection and business interruption insurance.

Make sure you have the correct insurance for your therapy and be sure to check if any exclusions are relevant to what you have planned in policy documentation.

Why do you need reflexology insurance?

Clients may come to you for reflexology for various reasons, seeking your professional expertise. You undoubtedly aim to provide them with the care they need, using your extensive experience. However, despite your best intentions, unforeseen issues can arise that are beyond your control.

Specialist reflexology insurance can allow you to offer your services securely and with confidence knowing you are covered should a claim be made against you.

Reflexologist insurance can cover the following situations that may arise allowing you to offer your services with confidence:

When a client alleges injury or other negligence

A client may claim that pressure applied during treatment caused pain, bruising, or aggravated an existing medical condition. There may also be allegations that you failed to identify a contraindication before proceeding with treatment.

Professional Indemnity insurance protects you against claims of negligence and helps cover legal defence costs and compensation where necessary. Please note this is not available with our salon policy.

When an accident happens in your treatment space

A client could slip while removing footwear, trip over equipment, or experience a reaction to products used during a session.

Public Liability insurance protects you against the financial consequences of accidental injury or damage to a client’s property.

Accidental damage to Reflexology equipment.

Treatment couches, specialist chairs, towels, oils and portable equipment are vital to your day-to-day work, particularly if you operate across multiple locations.

Equipment cover helps you replace key items quickly, reducing disruption to your business.

Protect loss of earnings from a workplace accident.

You are also at risk from a workplace accident. Suppose you trip and fall during a massage session, whether at a fixed place of work of at a client’s home. The injury could mean you need to take some time off work, leading to loss of earnings.

You can avoid financial loss like this with personal accident cover, which can provide you with financial support until you can get back to work.

When studios or spas request proof of insurance

If you rent a room, work within a wellness centre, collaborate with complementary therapists or attend events, you will typically need to show evidence of Professional Indemnity and Public Liability cover.

Having the right insurance in place demonstrates professionalism and helps you secure contracts, partnerships and room rental agreements.

Our experts explain why...

“Our reflexology insurance is designed specifically for qualified reflexologists and reflexology businesses, protecting you financially if a treatment leads to injury or damage to a client’s property. Although reflexology is a gentle therapy, applying pressure to reflex points carries its own professional responsibilities, making tailored cover essential.

We support self-employed reflexologists, studio owners, contractors and mobile practitioners, whether you operate from your own therapy room, rent space within a clinic, or provide treatments in clients’ homes.

Our policies reflect the realities of running a reflexology practice. Alongside cover for liability claims arising from treatments, you can also protect your essential equipment and business premises, helping you recover quickly from setbacks and maintain your income, reputation and continuity.”
