What's included in your Aromatherapy Insurance policy?
Our Insurance policies include the following benefits as standard:
You can choose from different levels of Public Liability cover – £1 million, £2 million or £5 million to protect you against the cause of accidental injury to a client or a member of the public while performing your aromatherapy treatment. Damage to third-party property is also included in your policy. If a Public Liability case was brought against you, your insurance would handle the legal costs associated with defending your business, as well as any settlement.
Some oils produce toxins which can cause damage to the liver, kidneys, and nervous system, especially if ingested. Swallowing essential oils can be hazardous, and fatal in some cases. Therefore, if you advise on a home treatment which causes a reaction, you could be liable for professional negligence claims, or allegations of malpractice. Our £500,000 cover as standard will help protect you against claims not only for what you do, but also for the advice you give.
Also known as Medical Malpractice, this will help protect you against claims relating to physical injury or psychological damage deemed to have been caused by your aromatherapy activities. Since essential oils cause reactions in the body, some of which fatal, it’s crucial to protect yourself.
Optional Equipment Cover
There are a few essential oils that are very rare and expensive (did you know that 30ml of Champaka oil costs £1,775?!); however, you will be pleased to know that they can be covered by your policy. You can include up to £5,000 worth of equipment cover, protecting you against damage, loss and theft of the oils and tools that you rely on.
