Specialist Bouldering Insurance

Although boulderers rarely scale great heights and often use crash mats there is still risk of injury. With more and more people heading overseas on dedicated bouldering trips, the need for insurance is growing.

Our Bouldering Travel Insurance is designed to cover every aspect of your holiday if you are leaving the UK on a trip to where you will be enjoying this form of climbing.

The policy includes protection against the usual travel mishaps such as delayed flights and lost baggage but also includes protection if you were to be injured whilst you were bouldering.

If you are looking for cover for bouldering while in the UK, our Sports Accident Insurance is more suitable, with protection for broken bones, liability and more.

If you’re heading away on a dedicated bouldering trip, here are some of the benefits you can enjoy:

Cancellation Cover

If you have to cancel or cut short your trip abroad because of an injury or illness, including for that of a close relative, you may be eligible to claim back the costs of your trip up to £5,000.

Sports Equipment Cover

If you’re taking away any specific bouldering equipment such as gloves or crash mats, you can cover up to £5,600 worth of equipment on your policy, protecting you against loss, damage and theft.

Emergency Medical Expenses

If you’re injured whilst bouldering overseas, you may require medical treatment abroad. With £10 million worth of cover on all travel policies, you’re covered for these often costly treatments, as well as emergency repatriation if it is deemed necessary.

Activity and Race Entry Fees

If an injury means you are unable to take part in a pre-booked activity, such as a climbing outing or other similar tour, you could be eligible to claim back between £150 and £500 towards your irretrievable entry costs, depending on your level of cover.

Travel Delay Cover

Flight delays can take a big chunk out of your climbing time abroad. Our policy covers you for the time you are left on the ground due to industrial action, mechanical failure or adverse weather.
